Brake Fluid - Nees topping up but...... Tue, 12 April 2005 23:49 Go to previous message
Hey all,

I have a quick question, I need to top up my brake fluid but I do not know what the brand or DOT of the current fluid is in the car... i'd guess DOT 4 is pretty standard?

I need to buy some fluid, but I don't want to bleed the whole system as the brakes are being upgraded in a few weeks anyway.

Anyone see any negative effect (eg stopping issues Shocked ) if I use DOT 4 to top up the system as a stop gap (pun? lol) measure until the upgrade goes in?

Rob.
