Ok today, after following information obtained from mr2 owners club. I did the ABV modification to my 4agze.

I T-pieced the brown VSV which goes to the inlet manifold with the tube that goes from the ABV which was attached to the blue VSV (which i blocked off)

have i lost ya yet?

With that done i blocked off the other tube from Blue VSV leading to the Throttle body.
Hence nothing is attached to Blue VSV. It still has a plug on it.
Im not sure if this is right.

Anyways, i went for a spin. Didnt reallly noticed any chance at all. Still peaks at same PSI.
I know of ppl who done this mod. and achieved from 8psi to 10psi.
This is with the standard pulley.

have i stuffed up?

This is normal Smile

If your sc is producing more than 8psi boost then disbaling the abv will give you that extra boost. Otherwise it should feel the same.

The 4agze is designed to produce 8psi so there shouldn't be an increase unless the sc or crank pulley is a different size.

There may be slight differences between engines that could cause a slightly higher than usual boost level.
