i would go atleast 195 if you have 14 x 7's I use dunlop formular w r-spec which are an awesome tyre bt they dont make em anymore. I would go with the a539 and yes they are fasing out the a539 with something else cant rem the name but they are in the new speed mag.

A little early I think? lol thanks for your input. Was happy with the A509's, A539's should be good if I find them. If I can't... well, you'd hope they wouldn't replace them with something worse. Might give the C-Drive a try.

1. Too high a profile for my application.
2. No anyway.

Wound up with 185/60R14 Yokohama A539's. Got a good deal so jumped on it. Happy ending.

bit late, but i couldn't reccommend A539s enough, they are an incredible tyre, i consider them second only to falken azenis for affordable street rubber
the grip level offered in the wet from these tyres is better than others i've tried in the dry! they have nice strong sidewalls and a tough looking tread pattern. from reviews online, apparently they wear down a bit quickly, but i don't daily drive my ke25 so it's not a concern to me
glad to hear they have 185/55/14s available, that's what i intend to use if i swap to bigger brakes (same overall height as current 185/60/13 A539s, and original ke25 155R12s). 185/60/14 gives you original ke30/55/70 height (185/70/13 and 155R13)

Hi,
The A539's I got were end of line stock, there's no more A539's avialable from Yokohama unfortunately. Aparently the C-Drive is an equivilent price and a better all-round tyre, but my clearance-stock A539s came at a significant discount from retail.
....and the C-Drive is only available in 185/60R14 and 195/60R14.

Damn! I wanted A539s again for my SA63, and the MA61 has A509s but they are phased out as well
Not much of tyre choice from Yokohama is there
Cheers.

C-Drive may be available in profiles down to 45 or whatever, but unfortunately they don't make a 185 in a profile lower than 60. Check the Yokohama Australia website for details.
ZZT: Go the C-Drives. They're the replacement for the A539s.

the ac01 (c-drive) doesn't look anywhere near as cool as the a539
even though a509s have been out of production for ages, you can still get them sometimes. they shuffle old stock around a bit, there's probably a warehouse somewhere full of a539s
a mate of mine just got s306s on his rx7, they're pretty nice, but not as good as a539
if they're not making the ac01 in 185/55/14, i'll probably go for azenis then, or maybe a dunlop semislick control tyre, they sell them at queensland raceway and you get a few laps for free so you can chew them down testing them
