4age short sump

Hey all,
I destroyed my sump last night on a speed hump, As you can see I drive a kitcar fitted with a 4age engine, and the sump sticks out some 4-5 cm (about 2") underneath the chassis rails, That's to much, the engine can't go higher, as the bonnet then wil not close again. overall chassis ground clearance is about 8cm, so it's LOW.
anyway I thought up this picture of a short sump, but the problem is I don't know if this ould work because I've never seen one. it's easiest for me to lengthen the sump instead of widening, because of the engine-mount arrangement (non Toyota)
here it is. so tell, me would this work?
