i have come across two very cheap soarers for sael from a japanese friends
they are both 1991 all around 110,000kms all white all 2.5TT auto. one has alloy and muffler another one is stock.

the compliance plate i quoted is $3500 ( if you can find someone is cheaper than this you can reduce over all price down)
so you are looking around $9000 for eveything all up plus the rego
besically we are looking for some one who knows how to imports and bring them in, we just supply the car, or finish everything and ready to go
