I have made new boots for my gear stick and hand brake. Very easy to do... Equipment: pins Material elastic needle and thread to match colour of fabric (yes guys you need to learn to sew) 1. get about 1/2 a metre of you choosen fabric from any spotlight store. ( i choose charcoal velvet ) 2. for gear stick, cut out a 40cm square piece. 3. along one edge measure in 15 cm from from both top corners. 4. then measure down 30cm on each side. 5. cut a 4 cm peice of elastic. 6. attach to the top of the boot by folding the fabric over and stitching either end of elastic to the sides of the top. sew along the bottom as well but dont sew through the elastic. you should end up with a scrunchy effect at the top of the boot. 7. along the bottom fold about 1cm of fabric over and sew along the bottom creating a hem. 8. now fold the boot over ontop of itself with the inside faceing out. use pins to hold fabric together and sew up the side of the boot to close it up. 9. turn it inside out and there you go a new gear stick boot. simply slide over the top of your shifter and tuck the botttom out of the way either stuck under the carpet ot stuck to the inside of the centre console. as for the hand brake simply cut out the fabric to the shape of your hand brake and repeat the steps above.
