Timing chain guide recon

This topic was in the WTB section but I think it belongs here. As some of you will know I need a new set of upper timing chain guides for the 18r-gu and they are hellishly expensive to get new. I think if I can get my hands on a nice heavy grade piece of neoprene I can get either a brake place or an engineering place to secure it to the existing guide (after removing the old stuff). Problem is, I don't know where I can get this from. I could not find PBE plastics as someone mentioned, I found some other PBE place that sells machinery stuff but could not get any sense from the lady on the phones. Can anyone tell me what type of places to try?
