Please make a Ke70 drift car, but make it a TE71 replica. Basically same car as the sprinter.
Put a 4age 100kw in it and strip it out stiffen it up and you have a hot little drift car.
Make it look like this...plz
Hot!!!!11!!1

i dont like the look of this topic, so u get a short answer;
Buy something set up for drift allready, ull get something decent for around $15,000.
Drift is not cheap, do it on a tight budget and ull be replaceing alot of things frequently.

If you want to do skids, anything cheap and RWD will do.
If you want to drift, get your chequebook out...

^^^^^ what he said
If you want a cheap, cheap entry level drift car get a R31, weld the diff and put some suspension in and off you go.

hmmm - thats a bit of a bummer no cheap drift!
i guess when it comes down to it motorsport is not cheap full stop.
perhaps budget is a better word
what about a ke70 with a 308 a supra 5speed and locker.
It doesnt have to be road rego'd - does it?
Just thinking about the spares i have sitting in my shed!
has anyone ever done the 308 into a ke70?

Why not just throw some more things into it as well. What else is in the shed?

As people have said, drift, like all motorsport isn't cheap. But you can get started and have fun cheap.
KE70 is a great option, though AE71 makes conversions a bit easier (all 4As bolt in plus they have a hydro clutch). Also consider a T18.
A 4AGE or ZE into one of these with a locker and low springs and decent shocks would get you started for maybe $2-3000. Depending of course on how much of it you do yourself, and how much you get the car for.
A 308 and a Supra box are total overkill unless you want to go off the deep end.

Parts are absurdly cheap!! (no ordering stuff in from Japan either)
Get one with a 202 and "Aussie" 4spd Manual for free, then strap-on one or two $75 ex-tractor turbos. $160 gets you the appropriate 60psi water pump to cram an atomised spray of water/methanol into the intake manifold.
Weld that diff, strip the bitch and DoRIFFFFTTT ! ! !

ra60/sa63/ra65's are cheap as chips. i picked up two of them for $500 not long ago
one of them is going to be a track car, for racing purposes.
they dont attract the price tag of a ae86 but they are similar to an extent

settin up a drifter on a budget.. the only thing i can say is dont expect awesome performance.
it will probably end up costing you more anyways because cheap parts have a habbit of breaking.
but good luck i suggest an old rwd corolla, itll be cheap and easy to find.
GOOD LUCK!
