Nah i'm certain it's off an 18rg. I'm just not sure if it's got pollution crap on it or not. Does anyone know if it's got that smog crap on it that I keep hearing about just by the head number? Or can anyone give me an idea of what to look for on it?

in my books 18RG series heads are

-88210 <- 18R-G
-88230 <- 18R-G
-8825* <- 18R-GU
-88270 <- 18R-GEU

This sounds like a 3T-GTE or 2TGEU head casting

262 is not an 18rg head number. That number head is the last of the 2tg castings and has larger ports valves. as black 28 has shown the list of 18rg head numbers.

An easy way to tell is 2TG the dizzy is up high near the tapper cover and the 18RG is down lower in line with the water pump.

I just did a search. You're all totally right, thanks guys. I've actually got an 18rg with twin carbies on a 88210 head. It's only the efi setup and manifold that i've got that has the 2tg casting number 88262 on it. Does anyone know if this manifold and efi setup can go onto my 18rg?
