ive read heaps of people stating they have used commodore rear suspension (shocks) in sprinters. after a search and a a check of the FAQ i cant find any info. just wondering what sort of commodore shock and if any mods are required to fit or its just bolt in.

VK Commodore wagon shocks. It is a bolt in, but.........
they suck. Do yourself a favour and buy some good quality shocks designed for the AE86. Sure, the Commodore ones are shorter stroke (suits really low springs that aren't captive), but the valving is way too hard. Mine felt like i'd put solid bars in the back, and had shocking axle tramp with both wheels fighting for traction, despite new polyurethane bushes and adjustable trailing arms to setup the correct pinion angle.

Tokico shocks are good! And they don't cost too much. They might well make adjustable ones for the AE86 too!

you definately can. they are adjustable via an allen key in the top of the chock piston.

I have just standard non adjustable tokicos on my car, they have helped a lot with handling, I am extremely happy with them.

i have been running vs ute shocks on the rear of my 86 and i have found them to be not hard enough!!! lol. mind u i was only using a 4 kg spring. ill see how they go with my new 6kg's mwahahaha.
the commo shocks are ok, seeing as they only cost $50.lol

shocks, not springs,
yes they are completely bolt in.
they are a shorter stroke, so they will only be good for lowered springs. a stock spring wont work well with them.

you could get holden genuine but you would get an aftermarket replacement for the VS ute or whatever. such as monroe, kyb etc... go to a place like auto one, auto pro, repco, etc...
