Replacement of parts necessary? Sat, 04 June 2005 03:22 Go to previous message
Ok ppl, i have a ae93 90 sx hatch.
Im about to get my clutch replaced by a great toymodder Wink
I may get my timing belt done as well by him if i can afford the money by then.
Thing is...my mates tell me that when replacing the clutch...access to the back crank gasket/seal is rite there.
Also, when replacing timing belt...access to the front crank gasket/seal AND water pump is rite there.
They say that since the car has done 100k +, i should get these 3 parts replaced.
My BIG question/concern is...how necessary is it to replace these parts? Im only a student and dont make much money..peanuts to be honest...so yeah...money is very low.
Do i really need to get the seals and pump replaced?
Car drives and runs perfectly fine. No oil leaks to what i can see. Very clean engine. No overheating. Get about 450-500 km out of 35 bucks of bp ultimate fuel (and thats with abit of whipping every now and then).
Also, roughly how much would these parts cost?
