my tps is busted, i'm running the car without it...

it runs fine when i disconnected it, it's on a 4age t-vis 2nd gen.
what are the risks involved when running without the tps?
i'm really having a hard time finding such sensor here in the philippines. guess i'll have to wait until it's available in surplus shops.

It will probably idle high and run a bit rich.
The ECU uses the MAP sensor and TPS to work outs its fueling... if one or the other are gone it will enrich the fuel to avoid damage to the engine.
Find a replacement TPS, don't drive the car much until you do.

Hey,
I ran my car for about a year without the tps hooked up cause when i bought it there was no plug. It was fine but not quite as responsive. I ended up getting the plug off a camery, not sure if the actual sensor is the same on them or not.
