I've finally recieved a reply from the old guy that stacked in to me just before christmas.
The leter is from his solicitor & I'll type out the interesting bits:
We are writing in regard to yadda yadda yadda......
We have also been informed by our client that there was negligence on your part in relation to the excessive speed you were driving in a 60kk zone.
We note the cheapest quote to your car is $4,376, our clients damage totalled $600.
In light of the above and the fact that our client does not admit liability for the said accident, we are prepared to make you an offer of $1,500.00 in full and final settlement of this matter.
We request a response within 14 days hereof in this regard.
Yadda yadda......
Quite a bugger eh? I still have to talk with my oldies & such, but I'm wondering what people out there can recommend?
I knew the old bastad would pull the speeding thing out, & being a young male with an old modified car I don't have much luck, but there isn't even any proof that there was a car for this guy to swerve around, apart from his word.
Anyway, what do you guys reckon?
