3TGTEU - spark timing.

i've got a couple of quick questions on the 3TGTEU - namely around spark and timing.
with the 8 plug configuration - do both plugs fire at EXACTLY the same time, or, one, then couple couple of ms later the other?
also - the distributor seems to have no input from the ECU at all running vaccuum based advance and positive pressure based retard - as there are two coil inputs is one dual channel ignitor used with two coils or two ignitors and two coils used?
