3sgte rumbling noise

when the car sits there and idles it has sought of a rumbling light rubbing noise coming from somewhere on the cam belt side of things... the sound seems to be comin more from the front aka air con pump and alternator... i have disconectd the air con pump so no lines etc are connectd any more could this be cauzing the noise? sounds half serious but i dont think its comin from the engine
