Battery in boot info Mon, 11 July 2005 08:48 Go to previous message
After fitting four million batteries in cabin for my work, I finally got a complaint from a customer so I decided to get the official info from the RTA.
Guess what!!!! There is nothing in the Code of Practice about batteries being mounted in the boot or in cabin!!! What this means is all them engineers out there saying you need this and that crap and sealed boxes and crap, its all bullshit. So the next time some engineer knocks you back, tell him to get fucked and check the code of practice.
In reporting this, I would still use a sealed box and vent it out side.

Oh and the above information is for QLD only. Possibly the same elsewhere, but I don't care!
