Situation: My mother bought this car new in 1992 and last year she bought another car. I spend most of the year in the UK or US, so I thought it would serve me as a run around for the few weeks I'm back in Sydney. When I got back last week it needed a new starter motor ($400 repair) and since it has run out of rego, I don't want to spend money on something I hardly use anymore.
Description: Nissan Pulsar SSS, 1992, burgundy, auto, one owner, 201kms. No mods to anything, all original stereo, wheels, interior, etc (its a mother's shopping trolley, waddaya expect).
Condition: Below average. It's been regularly serviced and comes with logbooks, but it blows blue smoke so the rings are tired, the air con doesn't blow cold, the headliner is a bit droopy, rear suspension needs a new bush, front bumper bar has had a bump and isn't quite straight.
So: I need to sell it for her, and can get a blue slip if required since it all drives fine. I was kind of hoping someone would turn it into a firebreathing SR20DET adding a new engine and manual box to the purchase price, and make a decent profit from their labour. So two questions, if you want to make an offer, please let me know what it is at jon@swiftdsl.com.au. Secondly where else on the internet could I advertise it and get a good result given its not registered and isn't perfect condition?
