I'm looking for a full synthetic gearbox oil for the RAV4 and it's interesting to notice doing their "lube guide" that they all quote non synthetic gearbox oil when there is an exact grade for it. I'm after 75W90 GL5 for the gearbox and 80W90 GL5.

Any reason why they would recommend a "normal" oil to me? or is there a valid reason why they don't recommend the synthetic stuff?
