Originally I bought 4 second hand 13B turbo injectors hoping for a cheap upgrade for my 3TGTE. I got them cleaned and tested and one was stuffed and after many cleaning attemps the guy couldn't get them even close to matching flow rates. So I bought 2 more second hand injectors and took all six to another guy. He got 2 to match and another 2 to match but with a greater flow.
So I cracked the shits and went and bought 4 new aftermarket 550cc injectors and put them in. I still had to run one at 3% less and another at 20% less irrespective of which cylinder I used them on (With the Wolf3D V4) to get the motor to run decent. I bought one more of these injectors from another joint that was close and still had to run that at %10 less. After this I took all 5 of these to a third guy and got him to clean and test these and he managed 2 lots of matching pairs with about 5% difference between the pairs, with the 5th one way over the rest.
So I put the 4 close-ish ones back in and had to run 1 at 20% less and another at 8% less.
What the hell is going on? Before all this I removed the tank and cleaned it out, flushed the fuel lines, fitted a new surge tank and flexible lines and filters.
I've now spent over $1K fucking about with injectors and still don't have a matching set. I get more consistant sprays with my morning piss everyday!
