I am thinking I may as well play with this, why not. I have a standard 2tg engine, 88222. 8.8:1 compression.

So Bill said to advance the inlet (3SGE), and retard the exhaust for more midrange. I will get regrind cams oneday, but I may as well experiment.

But this will create more valve overlap. But I know the most important valve event is the closing of the inlet valve. Advancing the inlet cam makes the inlet valves close earlier. I guess experience works better than theory in this area. I will try.
