Urgent! what can bad fuel do to my engine. Wed, 29 January 2003 09:43 Go to previous message
i need someones help! I have had a bad batch up of LRP from the local servo, my car pinged excessivly until i replaced the tank with petrol from another larger petrol station. The car now runs MUCH better. My problem is that when this petrol was put in the car overheated continiously over the two days i had the bad petrol in. yet the car still overheats with the new petrol in. What sort of damage could this petrol done to my engine? what should i do? i have taken the thermostat from the engine but to no avail. Could the petrol have caused my engine to overheat by internal damage. HELP!

Daniel

Edit: I think i have a blown head gasket the petrol was just another unrelated thing. damn unless anyone can sugest otherwise, but i have replaced just about every part of the cooling system what could i try to find it out? Thanks

Daniel
