I am fitting MA61 struts, coil over conversion and RA60 control and steering arms to a Sprinter. I have read that by reducing the strut height by 40mm, it allows the use of an AE92/KP61 damper cartridge as used by TRD. Apparently, when lowering a sprinter, the operating range of the shock is altered causing problems at the extremities of the stroke.
The normal stroke range of a sprinter is 186mm, while the TRD conversions are 165mm. The TRD short stroke cartridges are 62mm shorter than a sprinter requiring a 22mm spacer in the bottom of the strut.
Does anybody have experience with this?
