i understand that an 18r-c oil pump has low volume, high pressure and the 18r-gu has high volume, low pressure, im wondering, is there any problem in transferring the oil bypass valve from the r-c and putting it in the r-gu making a high pressure high volume pump? i can only see advantages such as allowances for a turbo later. would it twist off the oil pump shaft from too much torque?

also the manual i have is a bit useless for infomation. it fogot half of the specks and the other half is wrong anyway (yanky manual) what is the standard oil pressure for the 18r-c and 18r-gu engines?

does anyone know how to get rust off springs, con rods and cranks without damaging the bearing surfaces? one fella i talked to said "just sand it over to get the loose stuff off and leave the rest on. it wont matter" but i kinda dont like the sound of that idea. any thaughts.
