5E-FTE turbo CT9, CT12, CT20, T2, GT17 or TD04 Sun, 28 August 2005 11:04 Go to next message
Hello,
I need help in choosing the best option for a 5EFTE - 5efe bottom end (paseo EL54) and 4efte head/pistons/manifolds (starlet EP82), I am willing to fabricate an exhaust manifold. My choices so far are the CT9 (4e-fte), CT12 (1jz-gte), CT20(3t-gte), T2(e15et), GT17(saab, I think???) or TD04(EJ20T MY98). Also what would be the best option for ecu, piggy back the starlet ecu or a complete replacement with an aftermarket item, say microtech? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

TD04 or T25 (CA18DET) or even a T25g (early SR20) would be my choice unless you wanna pay the extra for a ball bearing turbo

i wouldnt even consider a CT9 or CT12 (too small for a 1.5L)

Thanks guys.
Done a bit a research on the T25 seems like the way to go and should be good to make up to the 200hp mark which will do me. Cool

Does anyone have any ideas on the ecu - piggyback or microtech? I'm leaning towards microtech but unsure how hard to wire in and if I can still use the standard tacho. Confused

Does anyone know what fuel pump would suit a paseo and comfortably support up to 200hp? One other thing will the 4e-fte injectors support 200hp if not is there another toyota injector that is a straight swap? 3s-gte, 1jz-gte???

Thanks again guys
Steve

Perhaps a Walbro EFI pump...

As for injectors 3sgte (gen3?) and 1jz-gte are side feed, so prbly wont suit you. Perhaps 4agze injectors would be worth looking at?
