NEED HELP my ae92 temp gauge not workin .. i got smallport motor
i think sensor not workin or not plug in ????

mine's not working either. In my case its the plastic circuit board on the back of the gauges, you can see where it's burnt out. Check that before you buy a new sensor.

depends on what engine you've got I think. Mines a 20VST and the temp sensor is in the thermostat housing.

ive got the same problem too
well before it was working when i accelerate when driving but when i didnt it would not move and now i think it just dont move even when i do accelerate , my mechanic told me mayb a ground wire fall out and would look at ot 4 me but i never have time to go cause i need the car 2 drive 2 work
gonna pull out the dash tomorrow and see
and i also got a 20vst and where is the thermostat housing located in the engine bay

Where the top radiator hose connects to the engine, near where the oil dipstick is. Its a single wire and slides on to the sensor that stcks out horizontally from the aluminium fitting where the hose joins the head.
jkvsnn: thats the oil pressure switch or sensor.

Take the wire off the sensor and short it to ground, the gauge should go to full hot. Replace the sensor if this is the case, and see what happens - making sure the body of the sensor is well earthed. If you still have issues, slip out the IC and check for grounding issues, they can make temp gauges do funny things.
