when did cops start pulling over sprinters??

i was driving last night, sticking to speed limit. unmarked cop car pulls me over.
gave me breath test, walked around my car a few times looking for something wrong. i gave him my foreign driving license with translation. he took it back to the car where his partner was. they were in the cop car with my license for a full 10 mins. i actually finished one whole ciggie while waiting for them
after that the other cop an old guyy came to me with my license.
he asked y i dont have an australian license since ive been here for a yr and a half. i said i was told that i can use it as long as im on student visa (intl student).
then he continues to point out to my toy car (sprinter takumi  ) stuck on my dash. he asked what its for etc... i asked is there something wrong with it. he said it could be a projectile and hit my face and i faint blah blah blah.
basically that guy was a dickhead. he said "i dont apreciate ppl who r here for so long and have no aus. license". after everything he told me "get out of here".
also there were looking for ways to defect my car. went round my car few rounds looking for stuff to defect. checked my tyres n rego. however didnt bother to open my hood.
things i got a way with :-
-exhaust. i have a silencer cap on but its not welded in. they could do me for that. however, i sprayed the whole thing black so its hard to see at night if it was welded or not.
- full bucket seat
-have so many defectable things under hood.
basically dont know if that old cop has a thing against jap cars coz he got owned so many times by them or is he racist against an asian guy. or maybe he just ran out of viagra and had no sex for while.
he also told me to learn how to drive and thats y they pulled me over. i was thinking like WTFBBQ!XOBILE i was sticking to speed limit n my lane. i was dodging pot holes though 
bloody cops!!!
