It sounds as though they are going to try and organise the same thing that was due to happen today next week. If so, I will be there if I can get out of work.

No - its actually in the shop at the moment having the clutch looked at. After that it'll go somewhere else for a general tuneup and check on the stupid oil leak, then go somewhere else for a power steering service
by that time i'll be broke and not able to afford petrol, and just sit at home staring at it all day

Ill have to talk to organisers about what numbers are required for our own lane

The Soarer doing the burnout is owned by TT 5OAR on the forums... i'd be interested in finding out what was in it as well! I heard a 2J rumor but am not sure
I think Shane was having temp issues with his NOS off the line.

yeah i spoke to Shane briefly on the way out, and he said there was some kind of problem with the N2O tank pre-warmer (or similar, im not nitrous literate) which combined with the COOLD ambient temps meant he was running well rich off the start.
Oh well, i was keen to see a hektik 60 foot time

well the last time I spoke to him it was a stock 1GGTE automatic.... but he's thrown on a boost controller and is pushing 18psi out of those little CT12's or something

I LIKE THIS ONE BEST

i was basically there to complete my licensing test prior to jambo.
basically my sixty foots were 0.3 worse, that equates to 0.6 at the end of the track.
and my MPH was done 10 mph. this was caused by no nos bottle warmer hence no nos to compensate for the rich tune. ie nos will lean out the tune making it sing. so on the 2 11.6 passes i had to pedal it through the deep end as it was miss firing with all the fuel it was getting.
the positives of the night were, tried a different suspension hieght int he front seems to work, i think with a 1.5 sixty foot i may have gotten a wheel of the deck slightly. and after giving the gear box a health check over the last month mike at MV suggested starting burnout in 2nd then click third to pro long the box, as they dont like first gear burnouts.
i think the amount of smoke from the third gear burnout speaks for it self.
thsi weekend we will chuck hims back on the rollers and test the lock up clutch, i am really looking forward to tusing that. i believe that should get me to a 10.50 and possibly 130 mph. time will tell.
Shane

Shane: Are you planning on using the lockup at Jambo? Did Mike do anything to the box this time to help keep it all together with using the lockup on the strip?
Last time I was talking to Sean he was talking about doing something extra before using the lockup but I have forgotten now.
BTW quality launch pic

i believe sean's box internally is standard, he has stall and shift kit, but i dotn know that is has been strenghtened.
Mike has informed me mine is as tuff as he can build it and is confident that the lock up will not pose any problems.
