Hi, well I'm very much a newbie to all of this but I'm learning fast. I've got a mint 1979 Rx30 Cressida which I'm planning on putting a 18rg in, now I've spent days going through google etc & a coupla hours over previous postings of which there are a lot, so hopefully I won't ask too many basic questions, anyway: I've currently got a full 18rgeu with efi gear etc (done less than 100,000kms, imported frm Japan out of the car, bought for $270nzd frm local engine shop) & also I picked up a 82' Celica Camry (Jap import not sure if you got them in Aussie) with a mostly complete 18rgeu, & a w55 box, so from that I can get all the ecu & loom etc, if i need it). Is it going to be cheaper to put on twin carbs as form what i can tell efi is a real mission to put in + I like twin sidies. I've jst found a carby engine for sale now which I'm thinking of getting as it would make the whole thing easier cos i wouldnt have to worry bout fuel pumps etc +plus it comes with the twin solex carbs jetted etc for the engine. So basically 3 things: Am I beter off getting & using the older 18rg or putting the $$$ to the other 1, (are there any problems fitting carbs to a 18rgeu). Also Is it worth trying to put in the w55 box, my car has a w50 standard, & will the coil etc frm the 18r work for the 18rg. Also are there any other major things I need to sort out (apart from the exhaust & throtle setups) ie brakes or hoses etc. Sorry for such a big list
