check fuel pressure - sounds like your fuel regulator is possibly faulty

running rich at idle or on boost? could be a air leak if it's rich on boost, my one went hella rich on bost and has a slightly rough idle, need to find some leaks.

The mounts and everything should be the same.

If you've got a water to air intercooler, you can swap it onto the Gen 3 (like I have) 'coz it saves you from having to do the plumbing all over again. This would require you to swap one of the rocker covers over, but it's not a hard job. The loom won't have any room for the low water indicator in your i/c though...

The computers are different, so you'll need to rewire...
