Hey, about 8 months ago i was the proud owner of a mint TA22 1974 Celica, but due to the previous owners 'dodgy' mechanics, my twin 45mm Weber engine was just too expensive to keep. Now that my money expenses have slightly improved, i am considering to buy another TA22. However, my aim is to engineer in a full V8 conversion on it. i am currently studying at Uni Mechanical Engineering so i see it as a great project for me. However i need sum assistance with what to get, ie what V8 would fit in the bay with little or no bay modification? if anyone has attempted this before please assist me in this task. At the moment i drive a mini, dont laugh, and it has proved to be a bucket of NO power. Well any thoughts on this idea before i start would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
