$1250 !!! Shit dude thats heaps cheap !

Hell just to have my Hilux Diff (Cost me $350), Bracketed and restudded with new Axel Bearings is $700. That doesn't include Overhauling the brakes, The new Brake line (As Hilux and Celica have the Hydrolics line come in on the opposite sides) , The handbrake cable or even looking at the centre. Shocked

The $700 Quote was from Craft Differentials in Sydney.

Ohh Speaking of Diffs, Anyone got a set of 3.7, 3.9 or 4.1 Ratio gears for a G series diff ??? Please..... Smile

With the Close ratio's the 4.3 in mine may be just a tad too short !

Around 300 for new G gears at Motive Gear Performance in Melbourne.
One question: what do your diff guys do to restud the axles?

$700 for the brackets is the go - you get new bearings- not cheap, and the diff comes back straight. CRAFT have had plenty of people come into there shop from other shops to get their $520 diff straightened for an extra cost of $300 for labour.

DEPOSIT TAKEN, sorry guys.

GT,

Mate we are working on a Machineist to restud the Axels at the moment. So far prices are over $100 a side from Diff places. Sad
Haven't got a cost from the Machinest Yet. (Also really need the Brakes decided on so so if needed they can be drilled too ! )

mmm So whats the number of this place in Melbourne with the $300 3.7:1 Ratio's ??

Ohh and as for Celica Brackets onto a Hilux Housing. After 2 Friggen Days work there is now a Sturdy and accurate Jig in existance. You supply Both diffs (Housings only !) and I can point you in the direction of its owner.

$300 - Cash only !

(After spending all weekend assisting I can appreciate the effort involved in Re-Bracketing a diff... What a Bitch of a Job ! )

Argh...only just saw this.
Oops Embarassed about the price, it has gone up a taddle since I called about a year ago.
I'll need a taller gear set for the Crown (I'm sick of 4.875:1), so I'll work the club angle. Smile
Cheers Dave.

Hey Giant T, I'm still chasing a G series cw & p @ 4.3 or 4.5:1. If the price is right, I'll grab one and support a club buy.

Either that or Toyman can sell me his 4.3??
Cheers
Steve

I think the more important thing that you missed was the "Thu, 13 February 2003 18:21". The person you are PMing here doesn't come to this forum anymore and hasn't for a long time.

There is also no need for calling names.
