Hey, I bought a 1982 ra63 celica for $3000 from my dad. It has a 3T-GTE. clocked only 88,000kms. The car run beautifully. The whole thing is stock with the exception of the pod filter. The cars been well looked after for the past 10 years as dad has had it garaged. Also picked up a second hand 3T-GTE for $700, cheap considering. Anyways i got it for parts as finding parts for this engine is next to impossible. I was assured that the engine was still in good working order.
I want to modify it and am on a sort of tight budget ($6000). Obviously the first thing to do is install an intercooler. I'm guessing I'll need custom piping for this.
Also thinking of upgrading the injectors to 7M-GTE injectors. I'm not sure but i think i will need connectors to do so. Also need a better fuel pump.
Might upgrade the turbo to a T3/T4. as the stock CT20 is pathetic.
does anyone know if where i could find a body kit for this car? I've seen like one. I think it was custom made.
In doing this mods what else will i require?
If anyone knows anything could you please help me. Any suggestions and approx prices would be much appreciated.
