AE86 for Racing?

I, like so many of us here, have a AE86 "Sprinter" in my back yard up on jack stands and all stripped apart. And like most of us, I also have a 4A-GE in the shed with plans to put the 2 together...
Many talk of drift etc... Yes I will give that a go. But for something a bit more serious I want to try some real racing, but for that there are strict rules so I need to find out now while building the car. I found this link for 3J Improved Production racing rules:
http://www.iprasa.mx.com.au/rules.htm
And I found this car also:
http://www.uq.net.au/~zzgwalke/team/cos-motorsport /photos.html
So is 3J the class I should go for? Has anyone here done it?
From reading the rules, I think I can use my 20 valve, will have to use 14 x 7" rims with Advan A032R Tyres, 195/60/14 size. Can run the N2 copy duckwing? (can only be 125mm) and can use the OEM front lip. Need a roll cage, but can't have it go through to the strut towers. Can use a strut brace. Can strip it right out for minimum weight. You can use a turbo or another Toyota engine, but that puts you in a different capasity class. I will be happy with a cheap 1.6liter setup.
Any input into how I build the car is welcomed. I am thinking it will be all white with Blackracing/watanabe wheels as thats what Ive got.
