Hi to all, I'm fairly new to this place so I thought I'd show you my ride. It's probably not much to you, but I love her. It is a Suzuki sierra with a 2tgeu powering her. Its been a long project since I got it when I was 14 and after the initial out lay I didn't have much money. But I did what I could making as much as I could and doing all the work my self. Which I enjoyed thoroughly, though I made some mistakes. But learnt a lot.
So what have I done you ask well u know about the 2tgeu transplant, but before all that I did a lot of smaller things. The interior left a bit to be desired so I cleaned her out and did some work there, though there is still a lot to be desired inside. Gave her a sound system, roll bars, side steps, slightly bigger tyres (that is all that the old motor could pull). Alloy bull bar, new suspension and shackles, which gave it 4inc lift. Then some ranco rx9000 shocks, a diff lock and heaps of other smaller stuff.
But them came the motor, I had a hard chose deciding what to put in, that would fit, go hard, be strong and not brake the bank. Then this 2tgeu came up for $650, with a gearbox. So I grabbed it and forced it in the small engine bay along with the gearbox. But it was to long. So I had to move the transfer case back with meant remounting it and then shortening and lengthening tail shafts, which was fun. But it all worked out in the end, and really only took me a week of working on it after work, which was not to bad I thought.
At the moment I'm trying to put an efi system on it, because when I go 4x4ing the dual side draft webbers let me down when going up hills, they just don't like it. Plus I'm looking at turboing it or supercharging it haven't decided yet. I'm pressed for room so I was leaning to a turbo but that doesn't give you the power you need down low for 4x4ing.
And I've just scored my self some mags, because those rusty steel things really let the whole thing down. But haven't got them on yet.
Plus I rolled it in the middle of all that, and had to fix it up, now that was a feat. But it came up good, for my first go at bodywork.
Heres some pics.
