saw this car last night - its pretty sweet! A few rough edges, but I'm sure adrian will have it better than new in no time!
Question: did the 100kw come standard with a map sensor rather than an AFM?

only 4a's that came with an airflow meter were the early AW11 bigports and silver top 20v's.
no australian delivered ones had airflow meteres, 86kw and 100kw version were both map sensor.
so in answer to your question. YES

Sorry good luck with your new adventure!! The 4A is a luverly revvy engine - have fun!

Yeah everyone seems to think i've downgraded from cars, It seems like its understandable but yeah I've always liked the Ae82 twincams and this one had a 100kw engine, they are easier to modify due to the variety of 4age parts which make them a lot more potential, 3sge was too hard to find aftermarket parts for...
Update, I found quite a large amount of rust on the body part of the door sill, where the top of the door closes....
I dunno whats going to happen, i will have to get it cut out and rewelded

Hey adrian
nice buy, have fun with that revvy 1.6! You jsut cant beat the fun factor in the 4a compared to the 3s
Used to have an ae82 myself a few years back, i just couldnt stand the square everything, eg. square dash, square trim, square back, etc etc But as i stated earlier its probably twice the fun of the celica
Have fun

haha,
Yeah the king springs lows fit great, no problems on the speed humps..
I found some 86kw cams which have a better duration than the 100kw so they should be going in soon,
I should have some new rims for it too!
