Hey guys,
It seems CLG (Clint) is much busier then he thought.
Maybe if someone has the time, they might get in direct contact with him, and get the group buy details of him, not sure if the stuff he has posted is enough, and continue the group buy.
It has been a good 6-8 months since something notable accured and i'm sure he wont mind if some one does take over. obviusly he should still be asked
I would do it myself, but i really dont have the time or space or organise it all, but am definetly in when it does move forward!
just a thought

How much did that end up costing you Draven? Around the $1000 mark fully installed does that sound about right?

was under $1k landed and installed for Joorsh, and that includes new bearings. mine's not installed yet (sitting next to me actually).
And that's just taking the diff to a specialist, not drive in drive out (which is for hookers and fat people anyway)

well.. silly question... couldnt someone else organise it then???
i mean... if the 15 or so ppl who want one did it individually... would seem abit silly.
i could probably do it.. but would need some help.
specially when sending the units out to everyone.
free time isnt really a good friend of mine

I may have a little time but have no idea on the wheres or the hows. If someone can update me I will have a look at getting it happening. Emailing me would be best. I don't know how these Group buys have happened in the past so some basic rules/guidelines on that too would be great.

1. msg the board and get approval
2. get number of confirmed buyers.
3. get price off tru-trac and aus customs, and postage from your house australia wide.
4. collect money off all parties
5. place order
6. pass out to everyone who gave you money.
of course, you being a newcomer and just registered, don't be suprised if not many people feel terribly comfortable giving you over $600

OK then, if people are hesitant to give me money (or portions maybe 60% deposit?), can I do the legwork for this and pass it back to someone who is a regular or better to do the taking of money and giving of gifts? I am not sure, just want to get this on boost again, it seemed to be going well and then it stalled. Open to suggestions.

waaay off topic here, but still keeping the thread alive (i may well be interested though)
But why arent torSens used more for the dorifto? They seem to be unbreakable and perform their duty of locking every time theyre asked, so why arent they popular with the drifters who would more readily go for a 1.5 or 2 way?
Cheers,
Troy

Back from the ether! I must admit I have missed alot of posts since my last entry here, and have both good and bad news for those people interested. The good news is prices are still around the same - the varying factors such as freight charges, exchange rates, and unit price have all interacted favourably. The bad news is for those people wanting G series centres - this area is a minefield!!! There are three or four different centres available for a "G Series" diff - determining which centre you guys will require is not a decision I want to make sorry. As stated earlier in the thread, exact notification of what you need the centre for will be required - model, date, diff style, ..., every bit of info will help, but at the end of the day, I'll only be willing to price up a centre for you BASED ON WHAT INFO YOU GIVE ME - I'm not looking to do your homework for you, sorry.
Once again, to make freight cheaper, I'm happy to wait till the new year to place the order, to avoid the Christmas/New Year rush. i know some of you have made other arrangements, or found other deals elsewhere - appologies for not acting sooner, but there were several factors in this delay.
So this is the final call for interested parties - I'm going to start fresh - if you've previously expressed an interest, please do so again, so I know you're still interested in the centres, new participants are also welcome - please read the entire thread for info, and email me directly on limeglaze@hotmail.com to notify me of your interest as these forums will close shortly, and we'll all lose access to PM's received and sent.

Interesting... i would have thought that renewal to this topic would have generated more interest/excitement.
Maybe opening up a new thread on the new forums with all the info might be a wise move. Who knows when we will be locked out of here.
Im in in any case. Common ppl. Cheap LSD's... well.. cheaper

Hi,
I am interested in a Torsen for a MA61 F Series.
Will the shipping costs vary that much in the Silly season as opposed to the new year.
If it is only minimal I am keen to go ahead have the money available to me now.
Thanks
