Hey guys, check out this web page:
http://www.metalstorm.com/
"Metal Storm's technology provides a means whereby objects, such as bullets that have been tightly grouped in multiple tube containers such as barrels, can be stored, transported in and electrically fired from those same containers. These containers or barrels can be grouped in any configuration, to meet any particular application."
Which means they can have guns, canons, etc.. that fire rounds in excess of one million rounds per minute!!
Go to their "Technology Demonstration" link and check out the videos... freaky stuff...

Ah memories.
That has been around for years. Probably 10+ now I think. Ages anyways, and they had a thing that fired a million rounds back then too.
But the application in a handgun I hadn't seen before.

There's been a doco on channel 2 a couple of times about these types of guns, and their Australian inventor. Some old guy who didn't really want to push his new gun invention into test & production, but no one showed any interest at all in his other inventions, so it was pulled out as a last resort. The invention he was pushing was running shoes that pump air in and out with each step, keeping your foot much cooler. No wonder he had to go with the gun......

This was big news back in 1998 on tv. It was scary stuff seeing the million rounds go off.

And some of you probably wished you had stock that you could sell last year in December and doubled your money (MST).
