Newbie Here... Mon, 17 March 2003 05:54 Go to previous message
Hey guys,
Im interested in buying an AE86 and either dropping a 4agze or a 20V in it.

I've been doing some research and have found out that different year manufacture year models of the same engine make different amounts of power, which i think is a little strange, can anyone tell me why this is so?

At the moment i am tending to lean towards a half cut as it will have all the looms and ecu, i wont be doing the conversion myself so all these probs with dizzys and aircon and manifolds wont matter, ill let the mechanic figgure it out, of course ill give him as much info as i can from sites like these to help him along, any advice as in where in sydney to get the conversion done?

Also could anyone give me a rough estimate in price, would it be cheaper to find a shell, a half cut, and spend the money on the conversion or buy one thats already been done?

Thanks guys
Vukie...
