Can't help you with the sizes, but I do remember seeing a track mini with a webber on it. It had a longish manifold which ment that the carby stuck through the firewall where the speedo normally went. You could tune it on the run, who needs a dyno!

youre better off using twin SU's as they dont get knocked out of tune as much as the webbers on the mini

MUST AGREE WITH SUPRAV8 ,BUT THERE ARE A FEW VARIABLES HERE .IS IT STOCK 1100,IF NOT TELL ME MODS AND I CAN PUT YOU IN BALL PARK.WRONG SIZE WILL GAIN NO MORE THAN INDUCTION NOISE(I KNOW THATS NOT A BAD THING BUT WHY NOT GAIN SOME POWER AS WELL?

its an 1100 with twin carbs on it at the mo, and they keep going outa tune! so i was told that a weber wld b much easier to keep in condition and give more power. somebody thght that a 38 inch might be the best way to go, but i dont know was thinking that a 45 wld b 2 big, so was thinking abt a 40? its not modified much at all at the moment but am getting a sprintex supercharger kit soon. So what do u think wld be the best size for it with and without the charger?

I have driven a stock 1100 with a weber that was jetted for a hot 1340 and it was the worst mini i have ever driven. By the way my sisters mini was missing pieces of the piston and it still went better.

If you have a nice 1100 and want a weber get it jetted. I have the vizard holy bible and he has some listings for jets.

Here goes.

1100 midified head semi race cam (280+) extractors
choke 33
Main jet 145
Air corr 180
Emul tube f16
pump jet 45
idle 50f2
aux. vent 4.5

Hope it helps

Brad

purple mini ep just beat me to it,go with vizards "tuning the a series" and you wont go wrong.see pg. 106-107 as purple said to give starting point but going from normally aspirated to s/charged donk and retaining same carb may or may not be feasible.but at least with the weber you can change many variables although parts are expensive but easy to get.
also manifold is important so get a hold of one which doesnt have pronounced sharp curve(vizard explains with photo)
lots of luck

The book is over 500 pages long and has sooooooo much info. How to modify small and large bore heads with scale drawings, info on which rods cranks pistons are best and how to make them better. There are small sections on forced induction and nos.
He has a website now for his new company
www.aptfast.com

he is up to edition 3 with a nice mini engine polished gearbox and very long weber manifold on the front.
