S series boltup gearbox strength. Mon, 07 April 2003 22:48 Go to previous message
I'm weighing up the options between a CA18DET and a 3SGTE for a conversion into a gemini. As it stands I'm more attracted to the 3SGTE as a motor but as a conversion choice the CA18DET is winning. If I were to go for a 3S-GTE, I'm aware that the sprinter box can be made to bolt-up, but the sprinter box isn't renowned for its strength... what other options are there (if any) as bolt up gearboxes for the 3s?
