AE92 - 4-AFE Cool Air Induction Options - Please Help Mon, 14 April 2003 14:46 Go to previous message
I have decided to invest some time in installing a cool air induction kit to my 91 AE92 corolla with a FWD 4-AFE engine.. ive been reading a bit on the net and ask people at various shops on the gold coast and brisbane and have mxied stories about which is the better way to do. Here are the two i have discovered:

1: Leave Original Air Box and filter connecting to the engine. cut 3inch hole in bottom of air box and run flexible 3inch hose to the free area behind the front bumper.

2: Remove air box from 4-AFE engine and construct pipe (stiff or flexible) leading to free space behind bumper with pod style filter attached to the end of the pipe.. so the actual filter is behind the bumper.

Which of these methods would work better for power, looks, and of course price.

If someone could post me a message of Msn Or ICQ i would be most greatful as i sometimes forget to look at these forums.
