KDog Regular Location: ACT Registered: July 2002	Re: technical 1UZ-FE questions Mon, 14 April 2003 22:39 Go with option "A" Its easier to disconnect all the wiring from the ECU side and pull this into the engine bay. To disconnect all the wiring on the engine you will need to pull the intake plenum off. This is so you can get to the knock sensors, cold start injector, starter etc. You will also need to pull the wiring harness out of the plastic covers it sits in. This is usually difficult to do without destroying something. This is why its easier to do it from the ECU side. Usually when I am doing engine conversions I rip the engine out and remove all the wiring with the engine out. Then put the new wiring on the engine whilst its out and then put it into the car. Its saves a lot of time/money in the end, plus it ends up being much neater dues to the easier work environment. [Report message to a moderator]
