Mon, 14 April 2003 22:41 Gen IV 3SGE+AE86 - I was going to do this to mine, I paid a deposit on the engine, then was rung up and told the engine had been 'lost' - how do you 'lose' an engine?? As for the 2JZ... hmmm... the hardships we face The BMW idea is a good one, although the BMW engines can generally be convinced to live with a fair size turbo themselves thanks to a little German engineering - but by all means go do it. I wouldn't probably bother putting it into an IS200, I'd tend to think it might end up a tad nose heavy - a hard hitting 3SGTE (or a carefully built 1GGTE that revs beyond 8500??) would be better there, in my opinion for what it's worth With the Commodore idea, why go to the trouble of adapting a Toyota engine when any Nissan RB engine can be bolted into any pre VT commdore so easily? (Yes, I do think that the 2JZ is classier than an RB engine though!) So I guess that leaves the Supra/BMW idea - unless you want to bolt it into something stupid like a Sigma and confuse a few people... Also, if you got GTR bits 'lying around' - no chance you'd like to part with the throttles, is there?? [Report message to a moderator]
