Lets say i was to pull the distributor out of my 4AC in my sprinter, then rotate the engine a few times at random, just for fun. how would i go about putting my distributor back in so my car will run? i figure i should: turn it to TDC on piston 1 on compression/igniton stroke stick the distributor in so the rotor is contacting the point for spark plug #1, then try to start and repeat. I now know the right way to do this, mark the position of everything (cam pulley, rotor arm etc) but 20 20 hindsight will only get you so far. EDIT: sorry for not putting this in technichal.
