RA28 Forums Junkie Registered: May 2002	Re: call me an idiot, then tell me how to put my dizzy back in Sat, 19 April 2003 05:21 Ok, there is a trick to it. if you have a test light (if you don't, get one...) put the #1 piston to 7 deg below tdc ( or whatever the 4ac timing is supposed to be set at) turn the car ignition on, put one end of the test ligt to the negative side of the coil pull the HT lead out of the coil, put the other end of the test light onto theend of the HT lead and then earth them both to the body of the car. with this circuit in place, turn the dizzy until the test light comes on. I think you turn the dizzy in the direction the engine spins and turn it until the light just comes on (or somewhere there anyway). This method works but to tell you the truth, last time I tried it didn't ( on an old 186) I just got a friend to crank it and turned the dizzy while he was cranking it till it started. Good luck.
