If youve had a previous parcel shelf u can use that as a template and make a new one pretty easy. if not make a template of the area to be coverd use plywood or cardboard to get the best fit and get some material mdf chip board what ever u want n use that carpet it n hey presto  to make it open with the tailgate u need it to swivel on a point or use a hinge of some sort and hook up some string to the tailgate so it opens. I remade one for the AE82 coz i had speakers on it and wanted to coneal them so i made a new tray at work being able to have access to material machines etc piece of cake didnt cost me nething just the time to do it and turned out sweet.
