Wed, 23 April 2003 15:50 It'll work just as well as turning up the volume knob on your stereo - that'll fix the noise from the diff . Higher viscosity "oil" will lead to more friction (and heat - maybe a fire?), and not to mention more wear from the particles of sawdust. Diffs only have a small reservoir of oil - so any metal bits floating about will not be diluted by the volume, and will circulate around again causing more wear. [Report message to a moderator]
