The law says you can't fit an engine that is older than the car. And as far as I know the last 3SGTE available is from 1995 (MR2 GT). So I'd say no you probably can't legally fit one. Maybe you could fit a Lexus 4.0L V8 - now that'd surprise a few HSVs & Rexxies! Cronic front wheel spin but... [Report message to a moderator]
