First of all, take a look at the software/hand controller readout for RPM, see if this changes to something unreasonable when you hit 2000rpm - but I'd say if the thing starts and idles alright, then it's probably nothing to do with the CAS. I presume you use a MAP sensor? Is there something questionable here that is dumping in FAR too much fuel? Also check out the mapping in the software. Make sure the MAP sensor reading, RPM, and all others are reading correctly and don't suddenly and massively change at 2000rpm.
THe other possibility is some kind of electrical noise interference!
