They will only make a differnce if your standard settings are too rich (or lean). This depends on the mods you have, and the state of tune of the factory computer - which often runs a little rich in turbo models.

Your choice of what to do depends on finances, and the amount of adjustability you want. Generally they all (piggyback modules) work by altering the airflow/pressure signal the computer "sees". This means the computer is fooled into sending out injector duty signals which are further up or down the fuel map - changing how much fueling there is.
